ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON - Ageless and Moving at Bard College - Fitness and Wellness Program. Exercise in a safe and enjoyable environment. Ageless & Moving is a fitness & wellness program for active older adults. Registration starts Sep. 8th from 9-11am and is ongoing. HYDE PARK — Ave Art Center and Gallery, Mariapolis Luminosa. Open Monday through Friday 2:00 - 5:30 pm and weekends by appointment. The Ave Center, an arts and crafts studio, gallery and gift shop, is located in Hyde Park, NY at Mariapolis Luminosa and is part of the Focolare Movement. DUTCHESS — Hudson Valley's Community Band. The Hudson Valley Council Band, route 82 Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill Community Center, will conduct rehearsals on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. More information is available on their web site.

HYDE PARK — New Historical Publication — "A Road" by Robert S. Gilbert. The Town of Hyde Park Historical Society has recently published a booklet, "A Road" by Hyde Park native Robert S. Gilbert. This is a story about Violet Avenue from Poughkeepsie to East Park, NY. Bob tells about the individuals and businesses along this road, the violet industry, and many farms along the way — including the Gilbert Farm, owned by his father.
