Rhinebeck Choral Club - Spring 2008 Publicity Release
The Rhinebeck Choral Club, under the
direction of Charles E. Kelley, will present its 2008 Spring Concert on
Saturday, May 17, 8:00p.m. at the Rhinebeck First Baptist Church,
Rhinebeck. In addition, a second concert will be held on Sunday, May 18,
3:00p.m. at the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Poughkeepsie.
Our spring performance is
titled A Tribute to Broadway. Highlighting musical theater in America,
the concert will feature some of the most familiar and beloved songs
representing nearly a century of Broadway musicals. The program features
selections from eleven different shows including Wicked, The Fantasticks,
Chicago, Spamalot, and Les Miserables. General admission is $10.00 for

This season marks the
63rd year of community service through music performed by literally
hundreds of men and women in the Hudson Valley region. While performing
two main concerts annually in December and May, the Choral Club centers
on its musical community outreach. We have brought music to local
hospitals and care facilities, schools and churches, and special
community events. This season we are participating in Barnes & Noble
Bookfairs in Poughkeepsie and Kingston, the Rhinebeck Tree Lighting, a
performance with Joe Daily on 92.1LiteFM, and for the residents of the
Ferncliff Nursing Home.
